Advanced SW solutions to make our roads safe
Topics:
Software Delivery Craft Matters
Level: General

For quite some while now in the automotive industry we're working hard on making our roads safer with active safety systems. In this workshop you'll have a chance to glimpse into the state of the art automated emergency brake solutions and our current biggest challenges which ensure the best driving experience while still keeping the traffic participants safe. We will discuss here the challenge of determining the timing and the necessity of a brake request, whether an undesired or a missing brake activation is a bigger concern, the compromise between performance vs robustness, and methods to support the driver in resolving the critical situations without heavy system intervention.
