The Seven Primitives of Claude FlowV3

Fundamentals

Craft Conference Budapest — Full-Day Workshop (Day 1 of 2) Robert Crawford Ranson, CAIO — HumanRace.ai

What This Workshop Is

A hands-on walk through of the seven configuration primitives that define how AI coding agents behave. For each primitive, you build the Claude Code foundation from scratch, break it on purpose, then see what Claude Flow V3 builds on the same surface. You leave understanding both layers — the raw mechanics and an example of agentic coding harnesses.

The Seven Primitives: Foundation → Elevation

1. Skills:
From Knowledge
→ To Operational Modules

2. Rules:
From Instructions
→ To Enforcement Contracts

3. Hooks:
From Reactive Scripts
→ To Learning Lifecycles

4. Commands:
From Prompt Templates
→ To Structured Methodologies

5. MCPs:
From External Connectors
→ To Internal Operating System

6. Memory:
From Static Files
→ To Intelligent Persistence

7. Composition:
From Ad-Hoc Spawning
→ To Formal Orchestration

Teaching Model

Every session follows the same rhythm:

  • Foundation (~45%) — Build the Claude Code primitive from scratch

  • Break (~20%) — Sabotage it: conflicts, timeouts, corruption, overflow

  • Elevate (~35%) — See what Claude Flow V3 has on the same surface

Who This Is For

Engineers, architects, and technical leads who want to understand AI agent configuration at the level where you design your own setups rather than copying someone else's. You care about failure modes. You want to know why it works.

Day 1 → Day 2

Day 1 (this workshop) masters the seven primitives at two levels — raw configuration and intelligent orchestration. Day 2, led by Reuven Cohen, takes those primitives and builds a fully formed product front-to-back with production-grade RuVector infrastructure: graph databases, vector search at scale, and adaptive learning systems.
