About Dave Thomas

Dave Thomas has a wide spectrum of experience in the software industry as an executive, investor, board member, consultant, architect, and engineer. With a unique ability to see the future and translate research into competitive products, he is known for his contributions to Object Technology, including IBM VisualAge and Eclipse IDEs, Smalltalk and Java virtual machines, Agile Development and Vector functional programming. He is Chairman of Bedarra Corp, which provides consulting on technology and business strategy for emerging technology, products and services.

He is recognized as an IBM and ACM Distinguished Engineer for his contributions to Object Technology.

Dave is the founder and chairman of the YOW! Australia and Lambda Jam conferences and is a GOTO Conference Fellow.
