About Frank Chen

I am a maker. I help people make better decisions by designing technologies that connect people to what they want to do. I seek to learn about and to connect people with technologies that positively influence our mind, body, and relationships. I recently moved back to the SF bay. I'm an avid traveler and can be found hiking, wood working, and running.

At Slack, I focus on making engineers' lives simpler, more pleasant, and more productive, with the Developer Productivity group.

Last year I got married to my sweetheart, spoke at CraftConf about using circuit breakers to prevent stampeding herds, and contributed to O'Reilly's Observability Engineering book.
